About
2024 Black Joy AI Summit
The 2024 Black Joy AI Summit is a groundbreaking event dedicated to exploring how Black Joy can shape the future of artificial intelligence. Supported by the National Science Foundation, this summit aims to bring together Black leaders, technologists, cultural artists, and community members to discuss and design ethical AI ecosystems that center Black experiences and culture.
Over the course of two days, participants will engage with three core themes:
Black Cultural Arts and AI - How the rich traditions of Black cultural arts can influence and improve AI development.
Black Cultural Institutions and AI - The role of Black institutions in translating and shaping AI for the broader Black community.
Black Joy Building and Fine-Tuning Foundational AI Models - Strategies for incorporating Black Joy into the development and fine-tuning of AI models.
